ABOUT KARINA

I’m a marriage and family therapist licensed to practice in the states of Texas and California and have been providing therapy for over 15 years. Therapy is my calling and I learned from my culture and my mother to do for others when you can. I’m an original Tejana but fled to California for college to live the California dream for 18 years. In California I was trained with the highest standards in marriage and family therapy, skills I would love to share with you.
I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds, religions, political affiliations, and experiences. Working with children and adolescents was the foundation of my career for many years. I’ve worked in teen shelters, with law enforcement, in group homes, in school districts, specializing in Special Education and students with learning disabilities and emotional disturbances. I’ve worked in a variety of crisis settings, community mental health, and group private practices prior to starting my Latina Owned Small Business.
I’m a daughter, a mom (to a human and a puppy), a wife, a sister, a cousin, a niece, una tia, a bestie, and your cheerleader.
